‘Full House’ star Lori Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli split after 27 years – here’s what we know

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli Call It Quits After 27 Years

After more than two decades together, actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli are taking separate paths. A representative confirmed that the couple is officially separated and spending time apart as they navigate this new chapter.

“They are living apart and taking a break from their marriage. There are no legal proceedings at this time,” said Loughlin’s spokesperson, Elizabeth Much.

The couple shares two daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose Giannulli, and have faced public scrutiny for years.

Public Sightings Stir Curiosity

The separation became public shortly after Loughlin was seen dining in West Hollywood with actor James Tupper. The pair shared a brief hug outside The Bird Streets Club, sparking media buzz.

Loughlin’s representative clarified the meeting was strictly friendly. The two have co-starred in films including A Christmas Blessing and Fall Into Winter.

Legal Troubles Cast a Long Shadow

Loughlin and Giannulli first faced national scrutiny in the 2019 college admissions bribery scandal. Prosecutors revealed they paid $500,000 to secure their daughters’ entry into USC as rowing recruits, despite neither participating in the sport.

Both pleaded guilty. Loughlin served two months in prison in Dublin, California, followed by two years supervised release, 100 hours of community service, and a $150,000 fine. She admitted that, although motivated by love, her actions undermined her values and contributed to social inequality.

Giannulli served five months in prison in Lompoc, California, followed by community confinement. His sentence included 250 hours of community service and a $250,000 fine.

A Marriage Once Celebrated

Long before the scandal, Loughlin and Giannulli were viewed as a resilient Hollywood couple. They married in 1997, and in a 2016 interview, Loughlin reflected on their strong bond.

“I’ve been married for 18 years! I always knew I was in it for the long haul,” she said. She emphasized the importance of choosing peace over pride and letting minor conflicts slide.

Loughlin also highlighted the value of dedicated time together. She and Giannulli reserved Friday evenings for dinner dates to reconnect amid their busy schedules.

Moving Forward

Now, after 27 years together, Loughlin and Giannulli face a new chapter apart. While fans speculate on the reasons, the couple appears committed to navigating this change thoughtfully and privately.
