Find out how.\n\n\n\n<p>Blake Shelton&nbsp;may be gone on&nbsp;<em>The Voice,&nbsp;but he\u2019s never forgotten.\n\n\n\n<p>The country star left his longtime gig as a Coach on&nbsp;<em>The Voice&nbsp;a couple years ago, but in the Season 27 premiere, it was like he was back. Well, almost. Read on to find out how he made a surprise appearance.\n\n\n\n<h2 class='\"wp-block-heading\"'>Kelsea Ballerini has a Blake Shelton button on her red chair\n\n\n\n</h2><p>For her first season as a Coach,&nbsp;Kelsea Ballerini&nbsp;decided she needed some reinforcements to go up against returning Coach and multi-season winner&nbsp;Adam Levine. So she enlisted Levine\u2019s friendly rival, Shelton. As she demonstrated during the episode, Ballerini seems to have a button on her red chair that she can press to play an insult Shelton lobbed at Levine in years past. \u201cI have it for when I really need some backup,\u201d Ballerini explained.\n\n\n\n</p><p>In fact, there are four quotes: \u201cAdam\u2019s a big baby,\u201d \u201cAdam\u2026won\u2019t shut up,\u201d \u201cAdam, you say a lot of stupid stuff,\u201d and \u201cAdam\u2019s a crappy Coach.\u201d All said with love, of course. In November 2024,&nbsp;<em>The Voice\u2019s&nbsp;most decorated champion posted an Instagram picture to promote his new single, and&nbsp;Daly quickly chimed in with a jab:&nbsp;\u201cYou look like a real man for once \ud83d\ude02.\u201d&nbsp;But don\u2019t worry: Shelton and Daly are actually&nbsp;very good friends, and this was all in jest.\n\n\n\n<h2 class='\"wp-block-heading\"'>Why did Blake Shelton leave&nbsp;<em>The Voice?\n\n\n\n<p>Clearly, the Coaches are missing Shelton a bit, but he had a good reason for stepping away from&nbsp;<em>The Voice&nbsp;in May 2023. \u201cI think being a stepdad has changed my perspective in that I\u2019m not the first person that I think about anymore,\u201d&nbsp;he told&nbsp;<em>Access Hollywood&nbsp;of his role to wife (and fellow former Coach)&nbsp;Gwen Stefani\u2019s&nbsp;three sons. \u201cEven to the small little things when you go, \u2018I think I\u2019ll do this,\u2019 the very next thought is always, \u2018Well, wait a minute. How\u2019s that going work?\u2019 Or, \u2018What will they think?\u2019 Or, \u2018How will that affect a schedule?&rsquo;\u201d\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think the only way for me to really do that right is to step away from being committed to something like\u202f<em>The Voice\u202fthat demands a lot of your time,\u201d he continued. \u201cThere\u2019s no way around it. If you\u2019re going to do it and do it right, you have to be 150 percent in. And I just feel like those days are behind me for now.
