The actor has reversed her retirement by appearing alongside Jamie Foxx in Netflix\u2019s Back in Action as a former CIA operative.\n\n\n\n</p><p>That movie title seems like the ideal choice, doesn\u2019t it?\n\n\n\n</p><p>Diaz\u2019s major break came in 1994 with her well-known part in The Mask. She then starred in films such as The Holiday, Bad Teacher, The Other Woman, Knight and Day, and Charlie\u2019s Angels.\n\n\n\n</p><p>Although various other genres are represented, she has established herself as a favorite in the rom-com genre. However, just days after making a significant comeback, the 52-year-old made a career decision that may not be to everyone\u2019s taste.\n\n\n\n</p><p>Back in Action\u2019s 25 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating indicates that reviewers weren\u2019t impressed, but Diaz appears dedicated to a different approach.\n\n\n\n</p><p>When she appeared on Capital Breakfast with Jordan North, Chris Stark, and Sian Welby, she declared, \u201cI\u2019ve moved past my \u2018rom-com\u2019 phase.\u201d\n\n\n\n<figure class='\"wp-block-image\"'><img decoding='\"async\"' src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/armnews365.ru%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2025%5C/01%5C/%D0%A1%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%BC%D0%BE%D0%BA-%D1%8D%D0%BA%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B0-2025-01-23-%D0%B2-11.13.07.png%5C%22" alt='\"\"' class='\"wp-image-80350\"\/'>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead, the actress has decided that she is in her \u201crom-com\u201d phase right now.\n\n\n\n</p><p>She made a similar statement in an interview with Empire: \u201cMom-coms only, no more rom-coms.\u201d\n\n\n\n</p><p>We can presume that Diaz would prefer to play a mother than the romantic lead in modern humorous films, even though she did not clarify her meaning.\n\n\n\n</p><p>That is, assuming she makes any more film appearances, as she has declared her intention to make a permanent comeback. Right now, all I\u2019m willing to do is what\u2019s best for my family and myself.\n\n\n\n</p><p>Regardless, she is returning to the role of Princess Fiona in Shrek 5, which is now scheduled for release in December 2026.\n\n\n\n</p><p>Despite Back in Action\u2019s severe reviews from reviewers, fans are thrilled to see Diaz return to the big screen.\n\n\n\n</p><p>Newsday said, \u201cDiaz needs a better project, but her return is welcome.\u201d\n\n\n\n</p><p>We Live in Entertainment concurred that Diaz maintains her charm in these parts and has a great rapport with Foxx.
